This section is for video game discussion, BIONICLE and LEGO video games can be included here, but they might be better left in multimedia or general BIONICLE.
You are pretty much free to discuss any game in a civil manner so long as you give the proper warnings about violent content, provide the ESRB rating in the topic tittle, and give warnings of any more mature content in the first post. If you want to discuss an AO rated game PLEASE notify me for approval first, and with all M rated games especially please avoid posting quotes with cursing or describing more gruesome attributes of the game.
I must also note that saying "The PSP fails and the DS is much better." and other similar comments are not appreciated, or civilized. You are entitled to your opinion but we don't want to hear you saying one console sucks simply because the {insert game hardware} has a touch screen, can play video, has more sales, or features than the other, etc. You are allowed to describe a systems faults and why you don't like it personally, but each system has it's good and bad points, and each is a worthy console. Its existence is not any less valid to those who do like the {insert game hardware} console simply because you don't like the console yourself.
ESRB Ratings in my own words:
AO-Adults Only, equivalent of a rated R 18+ movie and contains elicit representations of certain actions, and probably everything an M rated game has.
M-Mature, equivalent of a rated R 17+ movie, scenes of intense blood and gore, cursing and language.
T-Teen, equivalent of PG-13 The highest a BIONICLE or LEGO game has gone, maybe mild cursing and minimal amounts of blood or gore if any at all.
E-Everybody, equivalent of a PG film. Nothing really to worry about.
There are many kids out there mature enough to handle an M rated game even if they are not in the appropriate age group. Every parent should take the time to watch the games and look for the ESRB ratings to get a general idea of the content in it before buying it for their kids, and talk to them to make sure they now better than to repeat actions in the game and are mentally mature enough for it. And remember, if your kid says the M stands for monkeys, their lying.
