(This is the original, movie style review. I cut out the credits but you stil have to listen to the theme music in the begginning)
"Look in the box and here is something for you, it's another one of Andrew's review...s!"
Good afternoon again. I'm Andrew and boy do I have a treat for you!
Audience: POPCORN!
No not popcorn. Can you guess what it is?
Audience: No! more popcorn?
No... read the topic! All six, good and evil av-matoran reviews!
Audience: But I wanted popcorn...
Yes, the av-matoran. I will start with the good guys...
Tanma: Tanma was not really a good set if you ask me. The body was a bit too small and there were too fue pieces. The body was also too skinny. Luckily we had the new jetpack to fill up the space. There is also room the attach him to toa lewa if you wanted to. The heasd was really cool. It was yellow and could connect to a ball joint which was also new. The glowing head comes with every av-matoran set because they are matoran of light. (The bad guys have orange instead of yellow). The body has new pieces but I dought they can be used to make something other than the legs or arms. It did have many new pieces like the body, legs, arms, head, jet pack, and mask but 14 pieces for 6 bucks is unheard of.
(Tanma= like a tan from the sun/gives lewa light like a sun to power his blaster) Mask resembles Lewa's without glass shield.
Solek: Surprisingly with even more new pieces than before. He has a new leg/arm piece and mask. other than that, he is the same as Tanma. (Solek=solar like sun/creates solid light with Kopaka) Mask resembles Kopaka's without laser eye.
Photok: his was newer. He had a bulkier body than the others and different colored feet. His weapons were the chronicler staff piece which is still slighly hard to find. Once again, same old stuff. His arms and legs are the same as Tanma's but flipped around. (Photok = photons or what makes light/ travels at C [speed of light]) Mask resembles Pohatu's without the glass which was replaced with a top.
Evil
Galva: Galva once again has the bulky body but insteasd of yellow eyes has orange and instead of mata feet has new two toed claws in black which are a good touch for the set. (Thanks to Imatron for the Galva and Radiak sets) She also has wings instead of a jet pack. She also uses the carapar claws differently (one on each hand) which I thought was new. Unfortunatly the sets use the old holding weapons style that we all hate. Her arms and legs are Tanma's arms but blue. (Galva=?/ disorients person when riding Vamprah!) Mask resembles Vamprah's but shorter.
Radiak: I like this guy. He is interesting. He is a quadraped (four legs) and the name Radiak probably means the radiation transformed him. Same lags/arms as Galva but in red. He is like a mini Fenrak spider. His body is small again and he has no clawed feet but spikes that keep him from falling down. (Radiak= radiation/ slows down enemy on Antrox) Mask resembles Antrox's but with different teeth, wider eyes, no holes and rounder on top.
Kirop: I just got him today and so far, he is a cool matoran. He has matoro's claws worn in a different way. His mask looks like a bird with a small beak. Big body and Tanma's legs as legs and arms. He has clawed feet but in gray. (Kirop= ?/ blinds a person on Chirox's back.) Mask resembles Chirox's eccept with four teeth instead of two teeth and two fangs.
Although not a good bargain, the matoran are extremely fun to play with. They fit perfectly on their coresponding Phantoka. (Some with bigger chest plates such as photok, kirop, and galva may not fit on other toa/makuta!)
Overall...
Pro's: New pieces (foot/jetpack/wings)
New masks/weapons/body parts
Fun to play with
Better hands as some may already know
looks like coresponding phantoka
Con's: Too fue pieces
Reused weapons
Body too skinny
Overpriced
Old hand way to hold weapons
pieces bad for MoCing
Matoran too much alike accept for Solek with new arms and legs
The cons way out pros by 7 to 5. In my opinion they are playful but very overpriced for what you are getting. Remember, even if I say the set is bad, you can still buy it. I will not make you do anything. If you want them, buy them.
See you next time on another one of Andrew's reviews.
