And the frightening thing is...this thread is going to get fairly large. What I'm going to be doing here is color-coding the bios by class to make it easy for anyone reading here.
Dark Hunters Toa Kikira Brotherhood of Makuta Other (Titan, Rahi, etc.) Order of Mata-Nui
Simply put; who are the Kikira? Their pasts may vary, and indeed some of them have likely come from opposing factions with objectives as diverse as the species in this group. Despite this, they have all gathered under the former Dark Hunter Xaedrahk; all living a double-life. On the public face, they are a separate Dark Hunter force, answering to the Shadowed One only when necessary. Privately, they are poised not only to observe the course of history, but to affect it when necessary. They are the rowdy spectator at the Kohlii championships who chucks rocks at the players to see how they will react.
Name: Kulag Element: Time Primary Mask: Great Zahfi Primary tool: Multiple swords/daggers, no unique abilities. Specialty: Melee combat, espionage.
Mask Info: Kanohi Zahfi, the Great Mask of Memory. This mask allows the wearer to "remember" all an object/being has seen, touched, or felt. Kulag's primary use is in the art of combat; using his mask's power to instantly know how to handle any weapon he picks up to its greatest potential. Its powers also allow him to erase/restore the memories of a living being simply by touching its head. He can make an enemy forget why he was fighting or allow an ally to recall a memory that was lost.
Ability Info: Kulag's ability is time. Not in the sense of speeding up/slowing down or any of the Vahi's abilities, but rather shifting his physical form ahead/behind of all else. In this state; he exists as a sort of ghost; able to move in any direction he wishes and possibly move through matter provided it did not exist at the time he's phased in. For example, if he shifted a thousand years into Metru-Nui's past; he could move through anyone he's fighting in the present since they were more than likely not around Metru Nui at the time. However; fixed structures such as walls and solid floors would be impenetrable as they were still around in Metru Nui a thousand years ago. While he can shift his form back to before Metru Nui even formed and thus be capable of moving through anything; greater temporal distances take greater time and effort to shift too, and he cannot remain in those eras for more than a few seconds at most.
It should be noted that while Kulag cannot be harmed in any way by his opponents while phased, he cannot harm them either.
Bio: Originally drafted as a rahi scout for the archivists, Kulag was never one to find the research life satisfying; especially when the others went out to bring the rahi in themselves. That changed however, when Kulag followed a set of tracks leading out of the archives and into the unexplored tunnels of Onu-Metru. Finally getting the thrill of adventure in him, he followed the tracks without notifying anyone and shortly found himself facing a Prototaur; a toa-sized rahi known for its ramming attacks that utilized the massive horn jutting from the front of its head. To this day, Kulag barely remembers subduing the creature alone; knowing only that his mind seemed to return to itself when he was being carried to the higher levels of Onu-Metru by a rescue team. Despite lacking memories of his own heroics (or idiocy as Turaga Dume called it when he found out), Kulag was promoted and given command of a Rahi capture team that he continued to lead even despite attacks from the Dark Hunters.
It was during one such raid that the adventurous Onu-matoran found himself in the claws of a massive Dark Hunter. Too struck with fear to even struggle, Kulag was dragged from Onu-Metru by the hunter Irdak and his fellow hunter, a thin creature identifying himself as Garkis. Even with his mask, Kulag's memory of the following weeks has only barely recovered itself. He remembers being passed from the hands of the hunters to a being of great power, told that the fate of Metru-Nui was not meant to be his. At this point in time; all he remembers after that point is pain, isolation, and the curious sensation of an unnatural power pressing in around him on all sides.
Kulag awoke what felt like an eternity later alone; lying on a beach at the base of a winding rock stairway; feeling exhausted and strangely heavy for a matoran. His initial reaction to realizing that he was no longer a matoran was more confusion and fear than anything; dreading that the new reality he found hi mself in was either a dream or something on the verge of becoming a nightmare. It was only after days of exploring the beach and surrounding jungle areas that he found himself in the ruins of what had once been Ta-koro. Learning what he could from salvaged recordings and information, he was able to at least learn that the Matoran had relocated under the guidance of the now-Turaga to the island to escape Makuta.
Only one problem remained for Kulag at this point in time: Where had everyone gone? It was a question that would soon be answered as he prepared himself several days later and dropped beneath the island.

Name: Xaedrahk Abilities: Thermokinesis, speed-flashes, access to all 42 Makuta abilities. Tool(s): Karzahnk, First Being's Fang. Specialty: Close-range combat.
Ability info: Xaedrahk can mentally alter the temperature of inanimate objects any way he pleases; whether it is melting an opponent's weapon or freezing obstacles to the point of shattering. Additionally; while he cannot move at superspeed for an extended period of time, Xaedrahk is capable of moving in short bursts at speeds faster than the eye can follow. Finally, he can access the abilities of the Makuta..
His weapon, The First Being's Fang is a combination short-staff/sword. While the weapon itself has no special properties, Xaedrahk typically superheats the blade, allowing the weapon to cut through nearly anything.
Bio: It is a fact of life that every organization; be it government, army, or any other coalition has its own skeleton closet. The skeletons within range from misquotes to minor military blunders to total embarassment
Xaedrahk is one such embarassment; created by the Brotherhood of Makuta -immediately after the Great Cataclysm- as an elite Rahkshi with the hidden powers of a Makuta sent to defect to the Dark Hunters and eventually betray them from within the minute the Brotherhood unlocked his powers. While his ideals were advanced flawlessly, his mission was not.
Indeed, it was not long before he fell in league with the Hunters; betraying the Brotherhood after his powers were released. Mutated and transformed into something far more powerful than any Rahkshi in the Brotherhood by the energies that preceeded his betrayal, Xaedrahk rose quickly through the ranks, rising to a point that even the Shadowed One began to keep him on constant missions so as not to allow the avatar of deceit time to plot.
Ultimately; it was this life of missions that would advance Xaedrahk's own visions for the future. Free of the Shadowed One's gaze on missions, he was able to begin laying the groundwork for his own organization; communicating on missions with other hunters and like-minded individuals he encountered.
It was not long before he formed the Kikira; a group of Dark Hunters answering only publicly to the Shadowed One while taking their real orders from Xaedrahk. To this day; their existence is barely a rumor among even the other hunters; a whisper that has not yet reached the ears of the Shadowed One or Makuta himself.
Appearance: Far left
Name: Draxea Abilities: Multi-jointed, speed-flashes. Tool(s): Varieties of daggers and boomerangs. Specialty: Multi-opponent combat.
Ability info: Seemingly limited abilities allow Draxea to exploit the overconfidence of most opponents. The fact that she can contort her body in almost any way she wishes allows her an advantage in most fights as she can reach vital areas and perform acrobatics her opponents and indeed some of her allies would be unable to. Like Xaedrahk, she can move in blinding bursts for short periods of time, allowing her to break an opponent with frightening speed.
Bio: Unlike Roodaka, Draxea fully joined the Dark Hunters with a loyalty displayed so strongly that she even went so far as to declare her sister a coward for never truly putting her life on the line with the mercenaries. That moment sparked a violatile enough argument between the sisters that Roodaka unleashed her mutation spinner. Despite the aspiring hunter's attempt to block the shot, Roodaka mutated her sister's spinner and entire left arm into the leg claw of a Nivawk bird, and mutated much of her face as well.
Strangely, Draxea held no feelings of direct revenge against her sister, preferring to user her mutated form to its greatest extent in what became a rather one-sided war to show Roodaka that she would always be the better of the two. Though her skill has not waned since the would-be Visorak Queen's downfall, Draxea has since lessened in her arrogance.
Time has passed, and Draxea has moved on in life, replacing her mutated arm with a cybernetic limb by choice, she is now not only stronger and faster than before; but deadlier in combat. One of the first five Kikira, she retains something of an assassin status to this day. After all, the last time any of her kind took a position of great prominence, they were quickly defeated.
Appearance: Center
Name: Garkis Abilities: Heightened awareness/control over sound. Tool(s): "Tuning" blades. Specialty: Reconaissance, infiltration.
Ability info: Simply put, Garkis can alter all properties of any sound in his immediate area; whether it be turning a simple clap into a destructive blast of sound or pitching the scraping sound of his wrist-mounted blades to disabling volumes that leave even the toughest opponent on the ground unconscious. Additionally, he can mute sounds, enabling him and others to move and possibly attack in total silence.
Bio: The third member of the Kikira (after Xaedrahk and Draxea), Garkis was an almost natural choice after Xaedrahk witnessed the thing hunter using his sonics to amplify the footsteps of Nidhiki; allowing Lihkan to hear him and thus change the course of a battle that would have otherwise ravaged Metru-Nui and likely given the Shadowed One more power than Xaedrahk wished him to have at the time.
Like his brother Tirmasa, Garkis hails from the island of Auda; where near-constant earthquakes and tremors have caused his race to evolve with strangely nimble bodies; allowing them to elude the debris and fissures that come with the tremors. Their agile nature and feats of balance have become so practiced since then that some of Garkis' race have been known to stand perfectly still in the middle of a quake; never faltering nor showing signs of stress in otherwise unstable situations.
Appearance: Left of Center
Name: Tirmasa Abilities: Expended energy absorbing, eyeblasts. Tool(s): Scaling blades. Specialty: Long-term combat.
Ability info: Tirmasa is a strange opponent to fight. To defeat him, one need only do nothing. This hunter is a sort of energy vampire, feeding off the vigor of an opponent. The harder his opponent fights, and the more power his opponent puts into his blows, the stronger and tougher Tirmasa gets, until his opponent is utterly spent and Tirmasa can simply use the absorbed power to either crush his opponent with his bare hands, or use his powerful eyeblasts to destroy the helpless foe.
Bio: Tirmasa joined the Kikira faction with his brother Garkis after demonstrating his own unique talents during a skirmish between toa and Dark Hunters. In the middle of a fight that would have gone in the favor of the toa, Tirmasa leapt into the middle of a furious skirmish and singlehandedly knocked a dozen toa of fire unconscious by absorbing the raw fury of their powers and turning it back on them by causing a shockwave that rapidly caused the other side to lose their edge. It was this sort of decisive action that brought him to Xaedrahk's attention.
Like his brother Garkis, Tirmasa hails from the island of Auda; where near-constant earthquakes and tremors have caused his race to evolve with strangely nimble bodies; allowing them to elude the debris and fissures that come with the tremors. Their agile nature and feats of balance have become so practiced since then that some of Tirmasa's race have been known to stand perfectly still in the middle of a quake; never faltering nor showing signs of stress in otherwise unstable situations.
Appearance: Right of center
Name: Irdak Abilities: Density/weight altering, superstrength, unstoppable momentum. Tool(s): Groundbreaker knife. Specialty: Frontal assault.
Ability info: Irdak can alter his weight/density, a simple and usually devastating power. Whether it be increasing his weight to the point that a single footfall causes a tremor or negating his density to allow rudimentary flight, this particular hunter is the best choice for taking the lead in a fight, often stunning enemy troops with a violent earthshaker that topples the main defensive lines.
Bio: Irdak is the final "founding member" of the Kikira, and to this day; many wonder how he even joined in the first place. Indeed, Garkis and Tirmasa almost left the Kikira upon Irdak's induction, and when they asked Xaedrahk his reasoning, he simply explained "Every notable faction that changes the course of history must have at least one major member of unknokwn origin who is as dumb as the rocks he smashes."
Appearance: Far right
Name: Krulka Abilities: Primal empathy, eyeblasts, superstrength. Tool(s): Proto-chains, Rod of the Hunt Specialty: Rahi control.
Ability info: Krulka is simply known as "The Beastmaster" by those who know and fear him. Practically an animal himself -at least in mind- he is a master at understanding and communicating with rahi to the point that not even a beast influenced by the Kanohi Komau can withstand his mental commands. Keeping a Maukutua by his side at all times, to face one hunter is to face two.
Name: Maukutua Abilites: Poisoned spines/claws/teeth Tools: None aside from his teeth and claws. Specialty: Pet
Ability info: the Maukutua is a breed of Rahi created from a young Mauka and infused with Antidermis, mutating it
Bio(s): Prior to becoming the Kikira's central means of communication, Krulka was a solitary being who preferred the company of rahi; living away from all civilization and surviving by whatever means nature afforded him. It wasn't until the dark hunters destroyed not only his cliffside home along with many of his favorite rahi that he decided to get involved with the civilized world.
Confronting the largest and thus most likely reponsible hunter he could find, Krulka raised his staff against the towering Kikira Irdak. It was that moment in which Irdak displayed either a rare stroke of brilliance or a sheer act of cowardice in the face of the enraged titan. Revealing the existence of the Kikira to the tracker, he blamed the destruction on the Shadowed One's minions and told Krulka revenge could be his if he were willing to work alongside Xaedrahk to reach his goals.
It was only after joining the Kikira that Xaedrahk decided to give Krulka some additional incentive; a reminder of who could best aid him in his personal vendetta. Using his own antidermis to mutate a mortally wounded Mauka cub and twist it into a stunted reflection of what it might have been, Xaedrahk has left Krulka with little choice but to accept the Kikira's aid; whether he likes it or not.

Name: Crabalokar Abilities: Invulnerability, eyeblasts, teleportation. Tool(s): Claws, leg-spines. Specialty: Crowd Control.
Ability info: Crabalokar is as blunt as his abilities; capable of withstanding all but the most powerful attacks and in turn knocking opponents off their feet when they least expect it.
Bio: Crabalokar is noted for being the only one to ever learn of the Kikira's existence without their express will. A former lieutenant among the Barraki armies, he escaped punishment at the hands of Makuta and Botar by taking advantage of his superiors' commotion at banishment to vanish and reappear in a series of caverns underground where he lived for thousands of years; recording history as it went on and using the wars that ravaged the islands to compile his own sort of tactical database.
It was only when he noticed that several of the Dark Hunters' behavioral characteristics began differentiating from what he'd expected after centuries of observation that Crabalokar started tracking certain hunters; following those who deviated ever so slightly from their objectives, and eventually narrowing the group down until he arrived at one answer: Xaedrahk.
Leaving his massive network of catacombs with the knowledge that he would be killed if any of Xaedrahk's hunters found him in the caves; Crabalokar volunteered to join the hunters first. It was a gamble, however the gamble has since paid off; as the fringe operative has gotten closer to the heart of the Kikira's operations than anyone else except Mutaara.
Appearance: (To be added)
Name: Mutaara Abilities: eyebeams, tactile vampirism Tool(s): antidermis sphere launcher Specialty: Melee combat.
Ability Info: Largely recycled from previous creatures, Mutaara possesses a patchwork of abilities; the ability to project blasts of energy from his eyes as well as having an antidermis sphere launcher built into his very body. Unfortunately, launching a sphere depletes a significant portion of his energy, and thus he was built with the ability to recharge his mechanical body by absorbing the life force of organic lifeforms simply by touching them with his hands.
Bio: To say that Xaedrahk was the only member of the Brotherhood ever "recruited" by the Dark Hunters would be a mistake. In his early days with the hunters -even before his betrayal of the Brotherhood, Xaedrahk found what appeared to be the remains of an artificial Rahkshi the Shadowed One had been working with in an attempt to replace the Kraata with something more...obedient to the Hunters themselves. Though the idea had initially been discarded, Xaedrahk began his own work on the remains. It was in the days before the idea of the Kikira had truly formed in his sinister mind, and he was after an assistant of sorts; one that could not betray him no matter what methods of torture were used on it.
Hidden from the Shadowed One's eyes, and even the ever-present stare of his own Darkness, Xaedrahk allowed the creature to absorb intelligence on the other hunters at a rapid pace. Its mechanized "brain" allowed the drone to store the knowledge it amassed until its own programming allowed it to achieve sentience. At that point, its overall attributes increased to the point that Xaedrahk brought it fully online, explaining its existance as another hunter to the Shadowed One and using the vampiric tracker's data on the other hunters to begin forming the body of his agenda.
Appearance: WRYYYY!
Name: Malandris Abilities: Telekinetic control over own protodermis, energy blasts fired from mouth. Tool(s): Claws/tail blade. Specialty: Long-range combat.
Ability info: This particular dark hunter is essentially a living protodermis energy form bound in armor and possessing total control over every bit of its energy form. It can harden to a diamond-like density or extend its exposed surface areas to impale/slice a target. Malandris' preferred form of fighting however, is to use its arms to send its claws through the ground and ambush an opponent from a safe distance with razor-sharp claws.
Name: Carapdris Abilities: Telekinetic control over own protodermis, energy blasts fired from eye. Tool(s): Multiple blades. Specialty: Assassination
Ability info: This particular dark hunter is essentially a living protodermis energy form bound in armor and possessing total control over every bit of its energy form. It can harden to a diamond-like density or extend its exposed surface areas to impale/slice a target. Carapdris, unlike its partner, prefers to create many blades and extra limbs to quickly do away with its targets, returning all weapons to its skin and slipping out in the chaos, unnoticed.
Bio(s): After the Kikira formed, Xaedrahk began turning his attention to experiments once more. His early success with Mutaara had tought him that while the mechanical were easy enough to bring under his wing, he had yet to truly subvert a living being. After all, Skurapa and Maukutua had been created from something already living, and the manipulation of Krulka had been little more than cleverly planned bribes. In his own way, Xaedrahk was eager to play Mata Nui with those below him and create life.
He found unfortunately that he was unable to truly create new life as the Great Spirits could, yet the option of simply updating his mechanical constructs was out of the question in his mind. It was a mission to what would later be the island of Mata Nui that Xaedrahk chased a rogue hunter down with orders to kill. The capture itself was easy, but as he stood in the underground chamber to which the rogue had fled; the gleaming shafts of energized protodermis caught his eye, and Xaedrahk reasoned that as long as the hunter's previous identity were abolished; the incident would still count as a death.
The act of tearing out the hunter's heartstone and dropping the flickering fragments of its life into the swirling shafts was what gave birth to two feral creatures who were brought under Xaedrahk's command within seconds of awakening. One Dark Hunter was dead, and two Kikira were born.
Appearance: Carapdris: Right. Malandris: Left.
Name: Jigura Species: Unknown Affiliation: Kikira Abilities: Parasitic essence, superstrength, eyeblasts, flight. Tool(s): Kanotahk Rihktaka, the Brotherhood's Bane, twin Kavahk blades. Specialty: General Massacre Department
Ability info: Possessing flight, superstrength, and a parasitic essence that takes control of whatever it touches, Jigura has merely to get behind and grasp an opponent before a sliver of his very being contaminates the victim, rendering him/her/it totally succepitible to Jigura's will until unconsciousness or death leaves the parasite without a will to leech from.
His weapon, the Kanotahk Rihktaka, takes the form of an enormous axe whose handle is even longer than Jigura is tall. Typically, it is used as a normal axe or staff, although Jiruga is able to use his parasitic abilities and gain a temporary (three posts) telekinetic control over his weapon. Additionally -though he uses them less often- he uses twin Kavahk blades. Although their handheld range is noticeably shorter than Kanotak Riktaka, Jigura can still affect them the way he controls his axe.
Personality: One of the few Kikira to unnerve even Xaedrahk, Jigura is a firm survival-of-the-fittest believer, often preferring to confront his opponents only after they've gone through the rest of his brethren, just so he can see how much adrenaline one crushed Toa can muster in a weakened state.
Bio: Jigura is one of the older members and no exception to the way of the Kikira. A being of unknown racial origin, Jigura claims to have escaped The Order of Mata Nui's extermination of those who knew of its existence. Whether this claim is true or not; nobody else knows and quite possibly no one else will learn. Jigura is a creature recruited personally by Xaedrahk after displaying a talent for killing quickly and violently before vanishing back into the shadows. Readily accepting the invitation to join, despite being a monster who has almost always worked for himself, Jigura fit right in with what was at the time; a small group of six, counting himself.
Throughout the ages, he has remained largely inconspicuous, appearing in the open only during wars when his presence is counted as one more warrior in the battlefield. What the future will bring for him is unknown, but it is certain that as the times become steadily more perilous, the shadowy killer will begin to write his own bloody legend for those after him to read.
Appearance: I call it, "throne of makuta"
Theme Song: Slaughter Your World ~ Richard the Warlock
Name: Iruyam Abilities: Intangibility, agony-vampirism. Tool(s): Straining axe. Specialty: Science Officer
Ability info: Already appearing far more demonic than his peers, Iruyam is the Kikira's torture expert, his abilities allowing him to exponentially increase his strength, speed, endurance, and senses with every bit of pain his victim feels. Naturally wishing to exploit his own abilities and perfect himself, he designed a weapon without a name; a straining axe that -upon contact- causes intense pain to either flare through the target or the holder of the weapon hit by the axe. Within seconds of a fight, Tahu would find his sword-arm aflame with a constant, distracting discomfort, and as the fight wore on, the pain would become unbearable.
Bio: Iruyam is possibly the most enigmatic of the Kikira; keeping his entire past secret, and only telling anyone who asks him that he has worked as a healter in the service of the Shadowed One.
Still, among those such as the Dark Hunters, the term "Healer" is used loosely and generally translates to "One who makes the injured able to fight again, preferrably with greater potential to deal pain than before". A Toa's idea of healing is to smooth and patch armor and plating. Iruyam's idea of healing is to patch the armor and plating, and add a few spikes here and there to make sure no one can get close enough to injure the area without being hurt themselves. When Nidhiki came to him shortly after his mutation into the insectile monstrosity much of the world knew him as, Iruyam's prescribed course of therapy involved trapping the hunter in an enclosed room full of Fikou spiders. Naturally, Iruyam was nearly killed when Nidhiki broke free in a fearsome rage, but the therapy was rated as a success by the skullheaded scientist who reasoned that "at least the coward turned his fear into something useful!"
Due to his remaining at the Dark Hunters' island so often, Iruyam remains untrusted by some of the Kikira, particularly Jigura, who feels that the only reason the torture expert was allowed into the group is because he flattered Xaedrahk over the creation of Malandris and Carapdris.
Appearance: (To be added)
Name: Skurapa Abilities: Acid secretion, invulnerability, Tool(s): Claws, arm-mounted shredding blades. Specialty: Demolitions
Ability Info: With his own inherent toughness and acid-spitting powers, Skurapa's primary method of attack is to lock an opponent's body in his claws and blades before literally eating them alive, his acid-aided jaws capable of chewing through any unshielded substance. In addition to direct combat, this ability makes him a prime choice for sabotage and demolition as damage dealt by Skurapa is not easily repaired.
Bio: Skurapa is an experiment of Xaedrahk's. Originally a matoran of Onu-Metru, he worked in the rahi containment area, monitoring lifesigns and even leading capture missions when a new species was discovered. It was on one of these gathering missions to Ko-Metru however, that he ran afoul of the Kikira Dark Hunters and was captured by Xaedrahk, along with several rahi he had originally been sent to locate himself. His memories from that point to his second awakening are gone. All he knows is that one minute he was thrown heavily into a cell-loaded icerunner, and the next minute he was three times his height, and perhaps more than fifty times his old strength. The only difference Skurapa did not notice however, was that his love of Metru Nui had turned to a nearly blind hatred for its citizens. He didn't care. To him, the matoran were suddenly little more than bugs to be squashed beneath his hoof-like feet.
