I thought I caught a glimpse of Mata Nui is a couple of places including this image I found.  You can see the eye holes in yellow. The volcano could be like the Hau and its gaping mouth. Mata Nui's head is round like the stone that reprisents Mata Nui as well. This would also make sense that Mata Nui regards the Matoran and toa as ants by his feet. Also, Mata Nui the island would be safe to live on (the Kingdom)after Mata Nui dies because it is just his mask! www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8cV5e7xaekHere is another youtube video with new 2008 stuff. You can see the light shine through the sun/eye holes of the island/mask at the end like the original toa. You can even see a titan like figure. Could this be the Great Mata Nui? |

Well I think that this is a great theory and that Beatlemania is absolutly right. I have just never thought of it. We could brainstorm a few ideas. So far we have a Great Bieng. Mata Nui is a Great Bieng which is practically what the picture and possibly movie is depicting.

actually, Mata Nui is NOT a great being. but perhaps the actions of teh toa Nuva lead to Mata Nui acheiving HIS destiny, becoming a Great Being. mabe thats what was supposed to happen all along.

Well Mata Nui was known as a Great Spirit that created all living things, so in that respect I think he was a Great Bieng all along.

actualy, the island was NAMED after Mata Nui(spirit), who is much smaller than the island... oops  |

Well the island could be Mata Nui himself as well, we know that Mata Nui (island) was named after Mata Nui (Great Spirit). It is the oldest thing in the book.
