THIS IS ALL FAKE-NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL MOVIES
THE "BIONICLE MOVIE" MASTER PLAN
In the movie "BIONICLE: Mask of Light", Takanuva confronts Makuta and defeats him. But while travelling in some underground tunnels, he discovers in the sequel, "BIONICLE: May the Faxon be with You", Makuta made a secret chamber in which Takanuva encounters Super-Takua, a superpowered version of himself from the future. Super-Takua informs him that he must find the mask of time travel as soon as possible to prevent makuta from taking over Turaga Vakama's body and slaying matoran.
Takanuva completes his task and finds himself in Kidra Nui, the mysterious island in "BIONICLE: Battle for Pewku" (part 4 in the series). Having learned in "BIONICLE: Bat-Matoran and the Orkahm Asylum" (part 3 in the series) that Pewku once belonged to Orkahm, Orkahm plans to take his revenge on Takanuva for stealing Pewku by creating a rahi (called the Krawahi) to steal the Mask of Light.
After defeating the Krawahi, Takanuva discovers that Makuta once created a previous version of the Krawahi. This provides evidence that Makuta was actually possessing Orkahm's body. Takanuva drives Makuta's spirit out of Orkahm's body and as a reward, Orkahm gives Takanuva extra power, resulting in Takanuva's transformation into Super-Takua. In the sequel, "BIONICLE: I'm way up Hydraxon", Super-Takua traps Makuta's spirit in Maxilos. In the process, Super-Takua reverts into Takanuva.
Takanuva, after consulting with Turaga Dume in "BIONICLE: the Exo-Toa strikes Back" (part 6 in the series), The Makuta possessing Orkahm was just a clone. But as we learn in "I'm way up Hydraxon", Toa Lesovikk and Hydraxon meet up with Bat-Matoran from "Bat-Matoran and the Orkahm Asylum". We saw in "BIONICLE: Darkness before Dalu" (the prequel to Mask of Light) that they were old enemies and they have a huge battle. Hydraxon unleashes a mega power blast, freeing Makuta from Maxilos.
Since we know from "Mask of Light" that Makuta is Mata Nui's brother, In "BIONICLE: Trapped in a Dark Roodaka" it is revealed that the Rahkshi, being Makuta's sons, are in fact the nephews of Mata Nui. Meanwhile, Makuta and Makuta's clone (who we met in "the Exo-Toa strikes back") team up against Takanuva and kill him. In the sequel, "BIONICLE: Ehrye's New Groove" (part 8 in the series), it is revealed a nearby Matoran watches, and as Takanuva's power leaks out, that matoran, Ehrye, is transformed into the new Takanuva.
In the final installment, "BIONICLE: Kanohi, no Kanoka" (part 9 in the series), Takanuva fights the Makutas and teams up with the Rahkshi. The Makutas are killed when Takanuva and the Rahkshi trow them off the edge of a cliff. But before Makuta dies, he uses his power to kill Mata Nui. The Rahkshi, being Mata Nui's nephews, inherit the universe and care for all living things.
