The name of the great mask "Kalmaruhade" in Miraka comes from this war experienced diplomat who occasionally visits the island. The Kalmaruhade mask itself allows the user to interface with various kinds of technology, and in the case of this strong leader it controls various uplinks to other toa and machinery on the battlefields of his homeland where he is constantly monitoring them.
Kalmaruhade's cultural background is from a land that had remained constantly at war for so long, that the battles became the basis for the culture itself, and now the nations fight each other strictly for the purpose of the culture. To better explain what this means, each nation of this culture fights to gain the upper hand, but does not oppress the captured or dominated nations, while developing their technology and weapons to surpass the opponents, making them stronger than outside nations that would otherwise try to eliminate them and take the land. The law of the land is simple: War for strength but not for hatred, strike to defeat but not to kill, and honor the law of the dead soldier (an enemy declares your defeat with this law in place of the deathblow, at which point your a civilian. Not honoring it means you get back up and keep fighting when you should "play dead"). The neutral faction is the medical faction, otherwise known as the civilian faction who repair the wounded solders and make them ready for battle again (developing medical practices and processes for augmenting the nations warriors in the process), at which point if the law of the dead soldier was declared on you, it is lifted. Kalmaruhade is one soldier who has been incapacitated and declared "dead" under the law and gone back into battle several dozen times after properly having it lifted and being repaired, making him an honored soldier and eventually he became a leader in his faction.
The MoC is still a work in progress and isnt quite finished yet, Id like your feedback on what I might change. Im already planning on removing the black cables which are kind of ugly, and the arms are more of stand ins.
EDIT: dernit the first time I was added this in the six hour log in clocked me out right as I hit send...I was in a rush so I didnt add this stuff initially. Obviously his torso is loosely based on Maxilos while his upper leg support is based on Gadunkas. I want to fix up the lower legs and keep the upper legs for the support system, round off the shoulders before where the arms connect, add something just under the upper torso and add something to make the waist more decorative. I dont want to cover up that area too much though because I like how the pistons look and add to the idea of him being rebuilt and modified. I also plan to make the feet bigger and adjust the support pistons to his feet, which were built specifically to work well with the pistons. Hmm what else...
