Norn Nui is filled with many wild rahi, and the landscape itself is far from pleasant. But more dangerous then that is the small group of beings, led by a Makuta, who wish to purge the island of all those who know the secrets that Norn Nui contains...
Takaza, the only Makuta survivor of the Norn Nynrah battle, has decided against dealing with those who have dangerous knowledge personally, mostly due to the presence of Monolith. Instead, he plans, constructs, and continues the experiments left behind by the others. He has modified his armor so that his wings generate hover fields, allowing him to fly, and his tail can shoot blasts of flame. Even more fearsome, however, is his Spear of Summoning, which operates on the same principle as a Zalth, but with more results. Behind his kanohi tryna, however, this Makuta is worried. He is not fool enough to think success is inevitable...
The Devastator Drones proved their worth for the first time in the Norn Nynrah battle. Equipped with targeting scopes and scanners, they were also a successful experiment in elemental deflection. Any elemental attack on them would be ignored, as directly it would have no affect. They carried cordak blasters and rhotuka shields, which launched hovering rhotuka that operated as airborne cameras. Even without these weapons, though, they were capable of formidable strength and martial arts. The one weakness of the Devastator Drones was their inability to act without orders from the central module, a fact which alone saved the Norn toa from death. However, Takaza has recently re-obtained the module...
Vorzakh Hordika is an anomaly to his own. Formerly a rogue Vahki, Vorzakh was captured by the Visorak and subject to experimentation. Somehow, they got the Hordika venom to affect him, and sent him off to Norn Nui for further examination. He retained the lethality of his staffs, but gained a pelvic rhotuka which mimicked their former ability, alongside incredibly enhanced strength and agility. While he refused to participate in the Norn Nynrah battle, he has agreed to serve Takaza, because the Makuta keeps him from thinking by sending him on missions. When he is alone, however, Vorzakh has thoughts, and he does not like their look...
Traitor Toa. The hunter. Deathmask. These and more names are attributed to Lazadru, toa of spirit and servant of Takaza. His Matatu-shaped mask is actually a Volitak, and his approach to combat uses the same deception. In one hand he wields a shield of protodermis, equipped at the end with a small but serviceable laser drill. In the other, he holds his rapier, which has a pommel-mounted rhotuka launcher that fires memory-draining spinners. In his heart he holds a conflict. He has seen the secrets of Norn Nui, and he knows that as long as he keeps the Makuta focused on the matoran, those secrets will stay where they are...
Punchar is believed to be formerly a matoran, subjected to Norn Nui experiments. Takaza wisely refrains from either confirming or denying this, as the creature worships him like a god. He has been known to shatter boulders with a casual swing of his fists, and his gaze freezes matoran and toa alike, for unknown reasons. Strangely, he is extremely happy in his position, and enjoys the company that he finds himself in. Nobody can say for sure what is going through the twisted, cracked minds of his...
These are the servants of darkness on Norn Nui, and it is their intent to exterminate all who have seen what is there...
